On Sunday – we headed to Magnolia St in Fort Worth so Cole and JJ could meet up with a friend for Skate Day.  Part of the street was to be blocked off with ramps and rails and all things skate.  As we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised to find out that it wasn’t just a Skate Day but an Open Street Festival.

The whole street was blocked off with vendors, food, drinks, dogs, family, and more.

The Skate section ended up being a bit of a bust for the boys – it was pretty crowded and they felt out of their league.  They were able to find their buddy and make some new ones while doing their own thing behind the food trucks.

Jason and I had a great time walking up and down the street, checking out the vendors, and trying new beer.  I even got into the festival spirit with a honey suckle flower crown.  The atmosphere was great and the weather was wonderful.

We ended the afternoon at The Live Oak on the rooftop.  It was a tad warm but we improvised shade, plus there were beverages so that always helps.  It was a nice end to a great family outing in Fort Worth.
